I was doing some organizing and filing some photos last night. While all the images in the cf card were transfered, I started seperating my images from my son, roberto's images. He had used my camera to take some shots earlier in the day. Even though his only 8, but, I trust him using my dslr. And yes, he does get some interesting shots. Anyways, I am going through his stuff and I didn't realize that he had some shots taken directly at the sun!!!. That's a big no, no. Here's more information about that
http://www.apogeephoto.com/sept2004/wbird92004.shtml. Even though you can get some real good images, you can damage the sensor on your camera, but most of all damage your eye. So, I'm looking at his photos, and I almost woke him up in the middle of the night. This is very dangerous. The way to shoot if you really need that image is basically focus to infinity or focus at what ever you're going to shoot and DON'T put your eye behind the viewfinder. Down below is one of the images that he was able to shoot. And yes, he won't able to use my camera for a while......
(photo by Roberto M. Alvarez) He was using some 2x2 feet styrofoam pads so he could lay on them....Even though this is a really nice image. He could have taken it little bit more carefully.
(photo by Roberto M. Alvarez) This is a little bit more better (less dangerous) This photograph was taken by my son, Roberto on the suburban a couple days ago. This is his little baby sister.... He is getting better with his composition. Later on I will post Robertos flickr album.
Just a couple a days ago we were doing some arrends and decided to go to berkeley because the freeway we took was close to this scene. I can't believe folks actually lived on this tree for 22 months....
