Raul Alvarez has been a professional photojournalist since 1998. His work has been featured in the Oakland Tribune, The Argus, The Tri-Valley Herald, The Daily-Review, The San Leandro Times, The San Francisco Chronicle and other media. He has maintained himself through the years only covering his home cities. His photos has earned him recognition 3 times for best photos of the week in Reuters News Agency in Britain. Even though he does not do weddings or Quinseneras, he believes photographers have a wider field of work than to be know only as a wedding photographer. He is also a Master Printer, "I believe capturing the image is only the first step....but, the creation of a masterpiece print....that's were all the hard work comes in..." He also believes your images should look as beautiful fine art pieces for decoration on your wall."You shouldn't have just a simple family portrait hanging on your wall...., your family portrait and any of your most important portraits should look as Fine Art pieces"His subjects vary all the way from a perfected headshot to capturing still objects from a different point of view and capturing kids smiling naturally.
