I haven't posted anything the last couple days...but, I been having fun shooting and post production work with my new discovery..... <<<>> I photographed David on a very, very hot day. I think I picked the wrong time of day for any kind of shooting. But, they turned out great. This is a work in progress and not all the images have been processed. We actually did the shoot at the shoulder of a freeway entrance. The sun was behind him toward 10oclock. It was hot, dusty....but, it was worth it. I shot these with a wide angle lens, but, I wished I could had a wider one.
For the last couple of weeks my shooting style has definetly changed since I got cs3. I have never shot RAW, and amazingly now I know why lots of pros use it. These images have blown me away in quality and in color. This is a new park in Hayward that's called Cannery Park at West B st, but at the other side of the baseball field.
For this I used a long lens....I wanted to focus actually on the sign...I told him to kick some dust. That was a good idea...I don't think without the dust, this image would not look that interesting.
Even though it was daytime...I want David to stand still and the cars to look as if they're going fast....Oops...I forgot, they are going fast...He's actually standing about 6 feet away from the freeway...
I shot this with the sun at camera left (9oclock). I really need it a reflector to put some light at camera right...That's why I turned it into blk and white instead..I don't like the color version at all. This was a beautiful wall that was done just a few months ago....It actually holds the new freeway connector on top. I worked on the pile drivers who piled to get this wall here about a year ago....I am pretty sure I will use this wall for future shoots.
